Plenty of Cougar sightings in the Cranberry and Edgehill areas.One Cougar was taken near edgehill a few days ago aswell as one North of town.This could be dew to the lack of deer left in the backwoods,thus the Cougars feed on domestic animals.Some customer's have reported bear sightings also in the last few days so looks like spring is here.
As far as the Ocean goes there has been a large are around Rebecca and Harwood loaded with kreel and herring.This has also attracted Killer whales,hundreds of birds and White-sided Dolphins, this is a good sign for fishing.Still plenty of Crabs and a few Salmon around Harwood.

Well the new tidal licences have just come in,so now all 2010 licences are available.As far as Salmon fishing goes,several salmon were caught today on the backside of harwood.The seals did very well too,so be prepared.Darcy and brother Derrick just came in from a local lake with some very nice trout.So there you go both Salmon and Trout being caught on this nice day. Freshwater fishing and Hunting licences are now avaialble for the 2010 season.Tidal licences should be available soon.When renewing licences try and have your old licence or a drivers licence with you.Be sure to check out the new leach fly patterns @P.R.O.

march update

Well i am just back from the sportsman show in Abbotsford,and overall it was good. As far as whats happening locally lets get caugt up.
Firearms course-This just wrapped up,the were beetween 30-40 students put through and the majority did very well.We are now taking registrations for the next course,simply stop by P.R.O. for all the info.
Prawn fishing opening-We just recieved word today that all areas will be open for prawning starting April 1st,so get your gear ready as it should be really good prawning.
New Licences-These should be here in about two weeks for both fishing and hunting.

As far as salmon fishing goes Rusty had two great days.This past Friday and Saturday he hooked several fish and took home his limit bothn days.Army truck hoochie and Anchovies were trolled at 200 feet on the Backside of Harwood.My friend John and company also did well South of town useing the baitbuster,taking a couple fish in the teens home.
